Before we begin the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, my Dad always makes us go around the table and tell everyone what we are thankful for. So pull up a chair (and some leftovers because this is late), and join us at our virtual thanksgiving table. Please feel free to add what you are thankful for in the comments!
We are blessed with the most incredible family. Our amazing daughter Hazel, who pilfered our hearts, made us whole, and continues to amaze us every day. Hazel's Daddy, my incredible husband and best friend, who is serving his country in Iraq. We are so proud of him and I miss him especially today, as this is the first Thanksgiving we've been apart since 2003.
Chris and I are so lucky to both have married into great families. Our parents, I am so grateful for all that you do for me on a daily basis. Mom, I rely on you so much and I have learned so much from you, thank you for always being there for me, whether I need you to watch Hazel in order to remain semi-sane, or a shoulder to cry on. Dad, who is also in Iraq right now, you are my hero, Hazel misses her surfing and football buddy. Kathy and Bob, you manage to stretch your love for thousands of miles, we love the weekly phone calls, and all of your packages keep Hazel spoiled rotten!

We are both the oldest of three siblings that are all one gender (three girls and three boys), which makes our families totally different (ie. hugs, hair, and shopping versus baseball, cigars, and beer). Kristen and Brooke are the best Aunties in the world, I am so glad you choose to share your college breaks with our little monkey, the relationship you've built will last forever. Uncles Cory and Ty, we can't wait to see you in April, and Ty thank you for the THING!
Hazel is truly blessed to have four GREAT Grammas and one GREAT Grandpa: Grandma Brown, Nana Pope, Grammie Calway, and Grandma and Grandpa Whalen. You think Grandparents spoil a baby girl rotten, well that's nothing compared to GREAT Grandaparents! We love you all, and can't wait to visit during out mainland tour!
We have so many close friends for whom we a truly grateful. Some you we have known our whole lives, some of you we have known for only a short while, regardless we are lucky to have found people whose company we truly enjoy. You brighten our days.
There are a few amazing Mommy friends that I have relied very heavily on for all sorts of advice over the past year. EmilieAn, Jana, Irene, and Julia, thank you all for the support you've provided. Thank you for easing my transition into Mommyhood!
We are so thankful to live in this free country which is full of opportunity. We are extremely conscious that our freedom comes with a hefty price tag. Both Chris and I have friends and classmates who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. We are thankful for all of the men and women who are willing to give everything in order to keep our country free.
We are grateful that we get to live in this beautiful state where we get to wear nothing and play in the crystal clear water whenever we want! My little beach bum baby has never even worn a coat!
We are thankful for all of our awesome friends and stalkers who keep in contact through the blog! We love your comments.
We hope everyone had a delightful Thanksgiving!
