Disney World!

Disney World was so much fun! Let me break it down for you:

Day one: Magic Kingdom! We walked into the park and right into a magical parade! Everyone was there: all of the Princesses, the villains, Donald, Pluto, and even Mickey! They all broke down and danced with the street and Hazel joined right in!

Hazel claps for the dolls at "It's a Small World!"  By far her favorite ride!

Hooray!  We're at Disney World!

Daddy gets in the spirit!

A sleepy Princess.

The only downfall of the glass slipper:

Day 2: Animal Kingdom!

Hazel was more interested in Rafiki than Pocahontas.

The little monkey is more comfortable with her own kind.

Brushing a goat at the petting zoo.

Happy Hazel playing at the pool.

Daddy sports a Fez in Morocco (Epcot)

Day 3: The Day of the seven dwarfs!

Dopey

Grumpy

Sneezy

Doc

Happy

Bashful (well, maybe not so bashful, she tried to show off her "bebo" to some random people just after this)

and of course: Sleepy (x2)!

Army Athlete of the Year!

I was selected as the Army Athlete of the Year for 2008!

What a whirlwind: Chris came home on Friday night and on Monday all three of us were on a plane to Florida for the Army Athlete of the Year Award presentation!
It was a truly amazing event. We attended the AUSA winter symposium and signed autographs for a few days. Then they had a lovely dinner where they officially presented the award. Here is a link to an article:

My Dad was able to attend via Skype! It meant so much to have him there. General Sullivan is speaking with him here after the ceremony.

Chris and I with the Seargeant Major of the Army.

Afterwards, we celebrated by spending three days at Disney World! Tons more pictures are on the way!
