Mele Kalikimaka

Unfortunately we couldn't get together with all of our friends and family this year, but we are lucky to have my family and some awesome friends on the island. We met our friends at the Grass Skirt Grill for our traditional Christmas lunch and had a blast. We then moved on to the beach--there's nothing like sand under your feet on Christmas day.

There were no good waves on Christmas day, so we had to do some Hawaiian sledding instead.

We were able to hang ten the day after Christmas.

We also got to skype with Daddy!

Sneaky Hazel found a present Mommy forgot to give her.

Yes, that is four outfit changes in one day!

Merry Christmas!!!

Santa visited Hazel last night, and boy did she make out well! She bee-lined it to the rocking horse Daddy sent her. Here she is inspecting her pony before the ride.

The pony checked out well, so Hazel hopped on and loved it!

She then moved on to the table and chairs Mommy made her.

From there, she went crazy! So many people sent her presents that she had to take a snack break in the middle of opening gifts!

Block out and rock out!

Snack Break!

Charge it! Hazel got her own visa from Gramma and Grandpa Whalen!

Tea party with Baby.

After the tea party we headed down to the Grass Skirt Grill for our traditional Christmas dinner and beach time.

There are too many pictures to post, so if you want to see more, check out the gallery in the upper right-hand corner.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Twas the night before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a baby was stirring, not even a bot.  After an eventful day, even the thought of Santa couldn't keep Hazel from night-night time!  We had an amazing Christmas eve dinner compliments of Toots.

Then we were able to read the Polar Express with Strong Papi!
Daddy was able to skype too and we had a mini-Christmas.  He opened his Christmas package from us and loved it!
And we opened the package from Daddy.

Hazel got a cool hanging camel mobile.

Mommy got a beautiful perfume bottle.

But best of all, I got a camera! Chris definitely did a great job! I am so excited about it--this camera is amazing! Which means that you'll definitely be seeing even more Hbot pictures!

Of course, no Christmas Eve would be complete without the annual trip to Jack in the Box. This is the 10th anniversary, baby! Now, I am off to bed so I don't scare off Old St. Nick.

Hazel, No Peeking!

I am usually a HUGE stickler for the Christmas rules, ie. no peeking, searching or talking about presents. A little shake is authorized, but beyond that you're asking for trouble. Today I am making an exception. I just finished painting a set of table and chairs for Hazel and I am so excited about them! So everyone but Hazel is allowed to peek, she still has to wait until Christmas.

Don't even ask how long it took.  But Hazel earned it. Little Cinderella was put to work today cleaning Toots' house.

In other news, Khloe celebrated her 15th birthday today! We can't believe she made it! Let me put this in perspective: I was in third grade when we got her. I still remember sitting in the bleachers at an elementary school track meet in Aiea when my parents surprised me with the cutest puppy in the world. Crazy!

Fa la la la la

The rain subsided and the sun finally graced us with her presence, so to the beach we fled!

Thank you Great Auntie Diane for the super-cool outfit!

Sicky Girl

Hazel has been sick for FIVE days now.  Poor baby can't keep anything down.  Yesterday it hit the rest of us pretty hard too.  Yep, Toots, Didin, Mmmbop, and myself were all incapacitated.  The funny thing is Hazel felt better while we were all crowding the bathrooms!  I thought she was better, but daycare sent her home today :(  I hope she feels better soon so she's able to enjoy the season!

Welcome home Aunties!

Auntie Didin and Auntie Mmmbop are home for the holidays!  Hazel was very excited to greet them at the airport.

Hazel's carbo-loading for an action packed day--she stuffed THREE mini pancakes in her mouth at once!

She danced with excitement in Didin's lei.

Then she paused for a photo-op

Once we got home, she snuggled with Auntie Didin while everyone rocked out.

Little Monkey isn't feeling well.

After night-night time, KB, Toots, and I got all dolled up and went to a Holiday Party at Admiral Keating's house.

Breakfast with Santa

Toots took Hazel and I to breakfast with Santa at Neiman Marcus today. Hazel sported her sassy Christmas dress and had a blast watching the performers sing and dance. Mommy and Toots were glad to enjoy awesome food in a kid-friendly environment! When it came time to sit on Santa's lap, Hazel's mood plummeted quickly. She practically climbed up my arm, so we had to sneak Santa into the background of the picture!

Pretty Princess

Hazel took over a this toy at the store; when she thought I wasn't looking she pushed a girl off of it!
Hazel and Toots.
Oh Wow!  Hazel is checking out the fun fans at Mariposa.
