Talkin to Mommy!

Here's Hazel doing the monkey noise for Mommy.  See how she is thumping her chest.  She's pretty much a silverback.

"Hi mommy.  Hi mommy.  Hi mommy!!"  Hazel loves talking to Mommy.  Her conversation are a little limited, but she loves it!

The Terrible Toad!!

It turns out Hazel is not entirely fearless.  Meet her newest arch-nemesis--the Terrible Toad.  The Toad stands guard over a pile of fake coins at the Koa Pancake House (read about him here:  http://www.east-asian-history.net/textbooks/daoist_toads.htm ).  Hazel does not like this Toad.   He is ugly and his mouth is part way open.  Daddy probably didn't help by making chomping noises when she touched it.  I'll keep everyone up to date on the Toad v. Hazel match in upcoming visits to Koa.  Stay tuned.

Conflicting Interests

With Hazel's interests expanding so quickly, it was only a matter of time before she started multi-tasking.  Unfortunately, sometimes here tasks are not very compatible.  Here's Hazel watching TV on the way to the bathroom.

Toes to the NoseNow that it's summer time, that means waves in Waikiki!!  Clearly, the person most excited about the recent south swells is Hazel.  She was so excited that she waxed down Daddy's entire 10 foot surfboard!  Notice here that she is focusing here on the nose--I think she plans on hanging ten.

Safety First!!

Now that it's just Hazel and Daddy, we have the very important Rule #1.  In keeping with this rule, Hazel has taken to the reflective belt.  In the morning, she takes off all her clothes, climbs out of the crib and puts on the belt.  This way, she can be seen when traveling in the dark.  Great job Hazel, and keep up the good work!
