Happy Anniversary!

It's already been TWO years! We've grown up so much and done so many things! I can only imagine what forever has to offer . . .

Finally!

It's been way too long since I've posted. Here are some pictures of the life and times of Ms Hbot:

She gets a little crazier and tons more amazing everyday! She eats big people food now (she's offended by baby food now). She is saying mama, baba, dada, of course gaga, and tonight she repeated "night night" after Brooke said it! She is waving bye bye and signs to go up. She's made a ton of new baby friends at "school." She loves to play at the playground and particularly loves to climb up the slide. She has discovered toilet paper, the cabinets, and the potty! She can also stand for a LONG time and has even taken a few steps! No wonder I haven't had a second to post! I promise I won't wait so long next time!

Ironmom

This weekend I did the Honu 70.3 Ironman Competition on the Big Island. That's a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 mile run (exactly half an ironman). It was a ton of fun, but also pretty crazy! First of all there is a mass 1,300 person deep water start. So basically a TON of people treading water until the gun goes off and then total chaos as that many people try to squeeze between two buoys. I got punched, kicked, dunked, you name it!

After that the bike course goes all the way to the Northernmost tip of the Big Island, Hawi. The bike course was pretty hilly, but the WIND was insane. I almost got blown off of my bike several times and I had to ride leaning into it just to remain upright! The way back was nice, though, because there was a bit of a tailwind and some nice descents.

Then we were off for the run which was a loopy course around the Mauna Lani Resort area. I was feeling good and I passed at least a hundred people (my bike was pretty slow), but the last TWO miles was straight up hill! My legs were cramping badly and I did everything I could to keep my muscles from locking (including drinking coke). Thank goodness it worked and somehow I mustered the strength to sprint to the finish! That felt good!

As it turns out, I got second in my age group AND the coolest part is that I got a spot for the Ironman World Championship!! That's THE Ironman! I am so pumped!

I had to be away from H for 3 days :( I missed her so much!!! She was happy as a clam with her Strong Papi and Toots (although they did say she said Mama" the whole time). Now that I am back, she won't let me leave the room!
